In an unprecedented third breeding, Cody was been bred to Rosie over Halloween weekend 2011.
According to the breeder, Robb has received nothing but rave reviews about pups from the first two litters from the Rosie x Cody breeding. He has received numerous inquires as to a possible third breeding. So, the deed has been done. Rosie, GMPR Dakota Plains Prairie Rose MH is a 7 year old Grand Master Pointing Retriever and Master Hunter. Rosie is out of GMPR Goose Creek's Holy Smoke MH. Smoke is out of AFC Chugach Hills Jazz's Rascal and Bonkerjohn Kate, an excellent combination. Her mom is Richards Black Lace. With her pedigree added to that of Cody, there is no doubt that these pups will point be excellent hunters. Rosie lives in Cole harbor, North Dakota with Rob Gottenborg. My pup from the first breeding, Deacon, just turned two years old in late November 2011. He has excelled at fieldwork and has easily passed his Junior and Senior Hunter tests. In June 2011, Cody was bred to Macy on Alton (Macy), a fox red (yellow) Lab. Macy's dad is Finnish First for Gus, who is out of FC AFC Gunstock's Butch from Winnifox. Her dam is Katrina's Pride. Eleven pups (blacks and yellows) were born on August 7, 2011. While three pups are already spoken for, more remain to go to good homes. In late June, Cody was bred to Highland's Gypsy (Taylor), a yellow Lab from FC/AFC lines. Taylor's dad is FC/AFC Field of Dreams I'm a Winner (Champ). Twelve pups, (blacks and yellows) were born on August 26, 2010. While four pups are spoken for, more remain to go to good homes. Cody was bred by chilled semen AI to Island Acres Wrong Turn MH, Detour, in late February. Pups were born on April 15. All pups are taken. Detour is owned by Doug Shade of Migonee Kennels, in Oregon.
Cody was recently bred to Hidden Leaf’s Shinobi of Black Forest in
February, 2010;
a young black Lab, only 2 years old. Shinobi is out of Black Forest
Ace of Spades SH (black) and Black Forest’s Abby (yellow), both OFA
Good. Ace is from Gumbo of Black Forest; Abby is out of Cajun of Black
Forest.
While having no titles yet, Shinobi is in training for both hunt
test and pointing Lab titles.
Shinobi is OFA Good, Elbows
normal and EIC clear. Eyes have been CERF certified.
The approximate whelp date is April 22. Both black and yellow pups
are expected.
